Another post to display the gallery of some of my family photos that are on my favorites list. This one is of me and Zoe just a few days after she was born.
I thought I might add a post to display some of the paintings that are in my personal collection. The first is a painting by Mark Karnes, who was my mentor at MICA
This is a poem I wrote back in college that I stumbled across cleaning out some things. It was published in “Juice” Which was collection of poems written under Joseph Cardarelli at MICA in the late 80′s. This particular one I wrote in 1989:
Morality
My life is like the infinite
life of living, or dying
or becoming self-referential
being afraid of existing
existentially, or unto myself.
Self destruction like the world
or the bum down the street
or Joe Blow who said
his prayers this morning.
We live life hoping that
our life will live or die
just as long as we know
the book or the tree
of knowing and learning
and becoming
wise to the world
around us.
